Head Coach Ben Smith
Overall I think that the first meet of the season went really well. There was a great atmosphere with lots of cheering and excitement. Even though this is such an early season test we were able to get personal best from lots of swimmers which bodes well for Bermuda Swimming having another strong season. The relays were a big highlight for the meet and the new crescendo relay at the end seemed to really bring the true team spirit from all clubs. I know we are all looking forward to building from this successful weekend.
Happy swimmers, happy coach. My little ones enjoyed their first meet, and now we have some times to beat for the next meet. There were lots of things for them to remember, and lots of new experiences. I am looking forward to working to improve techniques with my whole group, and having them all swim in the next Development meet.
Sprint Meet: Overall pleasing first meet of the season. All the kids had at least one PB, with Carys Nokes, Sam Williamson, Matthew Oliveira and Joshua Thorne looking especially strong on the day. Looking forward to getting back to training and preparing for the Winter Age Groups.
Development Meet: A pleasing first development meet of the season for our young Sharks. For many it was their first meet and they performed admirably. Special mention to Allie Riihilouma, Blake Oliveira and Zach Pettingil for swimming B times which qualifies them for standard meets now. Congrats to all that competed! A job well done!
