PUPPIES COACHLAURA BOLTON

Growing up, swimming played an important role in my life- providing both athletic and social benefits. I began swimming with Sharks at a very young age, and subsequently swam locally until I left for boarding school at age 18. Once in Canada, I continued swimming for Trinity College School. During the summers I would teaching swimming, both in group settings and privately. After a brief hiatus from swimming while at university, I returned home in 2009 and began coaching for Sharks. I find it extremely rewarding to be able to give back to a sport that gave my so much throughout my childhood and adolescence. Coaching the puppies group is extremely fulfilling, because while also teaching swimming fundamentals, I am able to also impart more general life skills through our workouts. It is my hope that I can instill a love of swimming into the children, whether they choose to swim competitively for years to come, or simply enjoy the social aspects of this fantastic sport.

Head CoachDANIEL WOODS

This is my first season coaching with Sharks Swim Club and I cannot express how happy I am to reconnect with this fantastic club. The sport of swimming played such an integral part in my life while affording me so many great opportunities. Growing up, I swam for Sharks and travelled overseas numerous times which was life changing exposure in helping me find my path as a youth. I am really excited to coach the intermediate group and share my love for the sport. My goal as a coach is to create impenetrable fundamentals that will carry them throughout the rest of their swimming careers. Will also teach them the purpose behind their movements and how to “swim smart” before they swim hard.
